Zaltiva LLC dba Andy Group is a pass-thru entity incorporated in Arizona, solely owned and operated by Andy Trattner (legally, Andrew Lam Trattner).
This is a for-profit company. We are extreme capitalists who love making money. However, our owner Andy has vowed to never take a single penny of personal profit from the business. He won't have investors or co-owners either... What an idiot loser!
So, paradoxically, we operate as a kind of nonprofit for-profit. More specifically, we're a deliberately unprofitable business. The LLC is formed under "any legal purpose" and we intend to keep it that way.
What exactly do we do? Glad you asked. We tell stories and give away money. Or rather, we give away money and tell a story about that activity. Our main products are andys.blog and &U. We'll add new expense streams as fast as we can.
We take gift-giving to the extreme, and publicly document our strategic unprofitability in order to generate public goodwill in the hopes of receiving "donations" as revenue gifts of support.
We are scrupulous with our bookkeeping and lavish in our mission-aligned frugality. Generating economic uplift is our aim; we want to see more poor folks become rich!
As far as we know, we are the first corporate entity of this kind. But we hope we will not be the last... We encourage anyone who likes to set up a similar structure! Clone us, we won't bite.
We'd love to compete with other crazy altruists. Someday, an AI "individual" might join us in giving away money to uplift humanity. Then our lives will be lived as the last and most important benchmark, a threshold for true superintelligence as aligned super-generosity.
Smart people seem to care quite a bit about education. Almost everyone has an opinion on it. This company will show our opinions to the world, in (hopefully) a big way. We believe our mission will generate many millions of dollars in income over time.
So far, Andy has transferred over $100k of his net worth to this LLC, with $50k earmarked for &U's first mentee and $10k+ already spent. Andy has another $100k in reserve, to be deployed around EOY (depending on market conditions). Then he will be essentially broke, achieving his goal of $0 net worth and full mission alignment.
